A Story Written in Music

I was born on March 9, 1988, in Târgu Jiu — the city that is home to Constantin Brâncuși — into a family of Romanian folk music artists. Music entered my life early: at just seven and a half years old, I began studying the violin, at a time when my parents dreamed of building a folk music group that would carry our family's name. But God had other plans. When my father discovered the Bible and was captivated by studying it, the entire direction of our family changed — and that change would lay, without my knowing it at the time, the first foundations of a career devoted to Christian music.

At 14, I took my first steps into the world of classical singing, at the "Constantin Brăiloiu" High School of Music and Fine Arts in Târgu-Jiu, while also taking my first steps in the church choir. On March 12, 2005, I was baptized — a moment I would carry with me into every church where I would go on to sing, as an offering of praise to God.

2007 brought my high school graduation and my admission to the Faculty of Music, Classical Voice program, in Craiova.

The Beginning of My Career as a Soloist

In 2010, I gave my first concert in Bucharest, on the stage of the Radio Hall — the starting point of a solo career that I shaped quickly through my own concerts and performances alongside Alma Quartet and the instrumental group Synkron Band, in cities such as Târgu Jiu, Târgu Mureș, and Onești.

2010 was also the year my personal life found its lasting direction: my marriage to Claudiu Spiridon, followed by our move to Bucharest — a change that would decisively shape my professional path. That same fall, I began recording my second album, Vis de Zăpadă (Snow Dream), and in December I went on tour in Spain, performing two concerts in Madrid alongside other artists.

In 2011, I recorded Vis de Copil (Child's Dream), an album of lullabies, supported alongside ADRA Romania, with proceeds directed toward the "I Want to Go to School" project. That same year also saw the release of Cântecul Betleemului (The Song of Bethlehem), an album dedicated to the birth of the Lord Jesus.

My Own Studio and Vocal Therapy

2012 was the year my husband and I built our own recording studio. There, I recorded Clipe de Veșnicie (Moments of Eternity), the first album made entirely in that space, and in duet with Vili Dulă I released Dincolo de Cuvinte (Beyond Words), launched at Sala Dalles in Bucharest. Concerts in Turin and in Paris, at the Temple de Penthemont, followed — a place that would welcome me back several times throughout my artistic journey.

That same year, I began vocal therapy with Dr. Gabriela Duțescu, a step I consider essential to my musical growth — guidance that taught me not only how to sing correctly, but how to carry the message of each song to the audience.

The Years of European Tours

2013 was an intense year, in which I gave more than 45 concerts across Romania and Europe: Rome, Ineu, Sibiu, London, three concerts in Switzerland (La Chaux-de-Fonds, Lausanne, Neuchâtel), concerts in Bucovina and Maramureș, Rucăr, Turin, Eforie Nord, Sibiu, Caransebeș, Brăila, and Paris once again. A tiring year, but a deeply beautiful one.

2014 brought me the album Adiere de Pace (A Breath of Peace), made together with Paula Seling, Cătălin Gâțan, Vili Dulă, Sara Stroici, and Corina Spătariu, alongside concerts in Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, and Germany.

In 2015, I continued at the same European pace — Milan, Paris, Vienna, Brussels, Rotterdam, Bologna, London — together with dozens of concerts held throughout Romania. In October, I released the album Acasă (Home), 14 songs performed with Vili Dulă, Alin Sîrbu, Cătălin Gâțan, and Andrei Barbu, and the year closed with a Christmas concert in Ineu, alongside Paula Seling.

"Light from Light" and the American Tours

2016 opened with a concert in Dublin, and I organized the first edition of the concert Lumină din Lumină (Light from Light), held in Bucharest with a live band — a project that would go on to become an annual tradition. That year also included my first tour of the United States, with concerts in Atlanta, Miami, and Chicago, alongside performances in Spain and Germany. That fall, I released the album Ecou din Betleem (Echo from Bethlehem).

The following years continued to bridge Europe and America: Dublin, Madrid, and a tour of Israel — Haifa, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv — in 2017, the year that also brought the second edition of Lumină din Lumină, alongside Andreea Dobia and Emese Achim, followed by concerts in Canada and the United States. 2018 brought the third edition of the event, along with concerts in Spain and Ireland — a year in which my musical activity slowed somewhat, as our family grew with the arrival of our son Louis in November.

2019 marked the fourth edition of Lumină din Lumină, along with concerts in Spain, Austria, Ireland, and Germany.

The Pandemic, Composing, and New Paths

2020, marked by the pandemic, brought a shift in direction: the series "Să Cântăm Împreună" ("Let's Sing Together"), broadcast weekly for four months, the founding of the group Advent Quartet, and more than 30 music videos filmed. That same year, I discovered a new gift — songwriting — and wrote my first original piece, Cântecul lui Petru (Peter's Song). 2021 brought the continuation of my activity both online and on stage, along with new original compositions, while the fifth edition of Lumină din Lumină was held entirely online, due to pandemic restrictions.

2022 brought the event back to a public hall, with Paula Seling as a special guest, followed by concerts in Spain, Belgium, and the United States.

Recent Years: "The Light Was Born" and California

2023 brought me the seventh edition of Lumină din Lumină, together with the group Ad Libitum Voices, a tour of California, concerts in Germany and Spain, as well as the first edition of a new holiday event, Lumina S-a Născut (The Light Was Born), which was met with great success. The year closed with another California tour, with concerts in Palm Springs and Loma Linda.

2024 continued in the same spirit: Barcelona, Paris, the eighth edition of Lumină din Lumină, the second edition of Lumina S-a Născut, and another California tour — Palm Springs, Loma Linda, Sacramento.

In 2025, alongside two concerts in Germany, I organized the ninth edition of Lumină din Lumină, this time at the Radio Hall in Bucharest, together with the Paul Constantinescu Philharmonic Orchestra of Ploiești and, once again, the group Ad Libitum Voices — in addition to the concerts I gave almost every week, in various corners of Romania.

The second half of 2025 brought a blessed pause: I became pregnant, and in January 2026, our second child, Miriam, was born.
